FAQ

Lion’s Mane Tincture is a natural food supplement made from organically grown lion’s mane mushroom fruiting bodies (Hericium erinaceus). It is prepared using a carefully developed dual extraction process that combines water and alcohol extracts.

We also use ultrasound-assisted extraction for both extracts, helping to release naturally occurring compounds from the mushroom’s tough cell structure. The water extraction primarily targets polysaccharides, while the alcohol extraction captures other, less water-soluble compounds. By combining both methods, we obtain a comprehensive extract containing a broad spectrum of the mushroom’s natural constituents.

Our lion’s mane mushrooms are organically grown in Slovenia. They come from a carefully selected and trusted source, where they are cultivated with respect for natural rhythms. Every step of the preparation process is carried out with care, combining traditional knowledge with modern extraction technology and the understanding that quality begins at the source.

Lion’s Mane (Hericium erinaceus)

Lion’s mane is a distinctive edible mushroom with a soft, shaggy appearance resembling a white waterfall or a lion’s mane. It grows on hardwood trees and stands out in nature with its unusual, almost delicate appearance.

It belongs to the Hericiaceae family. In our herbal preparations, we use the mushroom’s fruiting body, its most recognisable and commonly used part.

One of the fascinating qualities of lion’s mane is how it brings together the worlds of culinary tradition and modern interest in mushrooms as part of everyday well-being. Thanks to its unique structure and composition, it has become one of the most recognisable mushrooms in modern herbalism.

Traditionally, lion’s mane is incorporated into herbal routines during periods when greater mental clarity, focus and inner calm are desired.
