FAQ
Parasite tincture is a herbal extract made from unripe walnuts, wormwood, cloves and papaya seeds. It is prepared using the traditional cold maceration method, which helps preserve a broad spectrum of naturally occurring plant compounds – from aromatic constituents to characteristic bitter compounds that have long been valued in herbalism.
The alcohol content (45%) is carefully selected to create a balanced extract that captures different layers of the plants – from gentler to more pronounced constituents, which together form a well-rounded herbal preparation.
The plants used are organic, mostly of Slovenian origin or carefully selected from trusted sources. They are harvested with respect for nature and processed by hand on our farm, allowing us to maintain a close connection with the plants from harvest to the finished product.

Walnut (Juglans regia, fructus immaturus)
Unripe walnuts carry within them the rich, deep energy of summer, captured before the fruits fully mature. They have long been used in traditional herbal preparations, where they are valued for their distinctive, slightly astringent character. In the tincture, they add depth and structure while complementing the bitter profile of the blend. Their aroma is full, slightly earthy and unmistakable.
Wormwood (Artemisia sp., herba)
Wormwood is one of the best-known bitter herbs, with a flavour that seems to awaken the body from the very first taste. In the tincture, it forms the heart of the formula, bringing the different herbs together and giving the blend its distinctive herbal signature. Its aroma and flavour are strong, almost archetypal.
Cloves (Syzygium aromaticum, flos)
Cloves are aromatic flower buds with a distinctly warm and spicy character. Their presence in the tincture brings a sense of warmth and rounds out the bitter notes of the other plants. Traditionally, they have long been valued for their intense aroma and their use in a variety of herbal preparations. Within the blend, they create a bridge between the bitter and aromatic worlds.
Papaya seeds (Carica papaya, semen)
Papaya seeds are a lesser-known but interesting part of the plant, with a distinctive, slightly peppery flavour. In traditional use, they appear alongside other plants in similar herbal preparations. In the tincture, they add another layer of flavour and complement the overall herbal character of the blend. Their nature is somewhat different – lively, slightly sharp and fresh.

- take both tinctures internally (either together or alternately)
- Parasite tincture offers more targeted herbal support, while Reishi supports broader inner balance and natural resilience
- together, they provide a more holistic approach, particularly during times when the body needs additional support
Parasite tincture + Wild garlic tincture
- take both tinctures internally (they can be taken alternately)
- wild garlic is traditionally associated with spring cleansing and digestion, while Parasite tincture adds a more targeted, bitter herbal note
- together, they support a sense of freshness and inner lightness
Parasite tincture + Milk thistle seeds
- take the tincture and seeds internally
- milk thistle is traditionally associated with liver support, while Parasite tincture is associated with the digestive environment
- together, they provide broader support for the body, particularly during more demanding periods
Is Parasite tincture suitable for children?
Due to its alcohol content, Parasite tincture is generally not intended for children, so particular caution is needed when considering its use.
In practice, it is sometimes also used for children, but always in very small amounts and well diluted in water. In such cases, the dose is adjusted according to body weight. If an adult weighing approximately 70–80 kg takes around 25 drops, a child with a lower body weight would receive a proportionally smaller amount. For example, a child weighing 20 kg weighs about four times less than an adult weighing 80 kg, so the dose would also be about four times smaller.
It is also important to understand that the actual amount of alcohol in just a few drops diluted in a glass of water is very small. Nevertheless, this does not mean that its use should be taken for granted – it should always be approached carefully, gradually and with attention to the child’s individual response.
