FAQ
Heart harmony tincture is a herbal tincture prepared using the traditional cold maceration method, which helps preserve a broad spectrum of naturally occurring constituents and the distinctive properties of the individual herbs. It is traditionally used to support the heart and inner balance, particularly during periods of increased mental strain and tension.
We use carefully adjusted alcohol concentrations during preparation, as different plant compounds are extracted at different alcohol strengths. This allows effective extraction of both more water-soluble and less water-soluble constituents, creating a more complete herbal preparation.
The herbs come from organic cultivation on our herbal farm. We pay particular attention to careful hand preparation and a respectful relationship with the plants.

Hawthorn (Crataegus spp.)
Hawthorn is a thorny shrub from the rose family (Rosaceae). The flowers and leaves (flos et folium) are used in the tincture. In European herbalism, it is one of the most traditional herbs associated with supporting the heart, circulation and inner balance. It brings a sense of stability, gentleness and a calm rhythm to the tincture.
Motherwort (Leonurus cardiaca)
Motherwort is a delicate herbaceous plant from the mint family (Lamiaceae). The herb (herba) is used in the tincture. Traditionally, it is associated with inner restlessness, feelings of tension and supporting the heart during periods of increased mental strain. Even its name reflects its long-standing connection with the heart and a sense of calm.
Valerian (Valeriana officinalis)
Valerian is a perennial plant from the honeysuckle family (Caprifoliaceae). The root (radix) is used in the tincture. For centuries, it has been associated with evening relaxation, unwinding and supporting the body’s natural rhythm of rest. Its aromatic root brings a distinctive earthy scent to the tincture, together with a sense of deep calm and relaxation.
Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis)
Rosemary is an evergreen Mediterranean shrub from the mint family (Lamiaceae). The leaves (folium) are used in the tincture. Traditionally, it is associated with circulation, vitality and a sense of warmth in the body. In the herbal formula, it acts as a unifying herb, bringing movement, vitality and aromatic depth.

Can the tincture affect blood levels of cardiac glycosides?
Heart harmony tincture contains hawthorn, which is traditionally associated with supporting the heart and circulation. People taking cardiac glycosides or other medication for heart conditions or heart rhythm should use caution and consult their doctor or pharmacist before use.
Although the amounts of hawthorn typically used in herbal preparations generally do not cause problems, herbs traditionally used to support the heart may affect the action or effects of certain medications. For this reason, when using heart medication at the same time, monitoring and individual assessment by a healthcare professional are recommended.
