FAQ
Liver Support tincture is a herbal tincture prepared using a traditional extraction method designed to preserve a broad spectrum of naturally occurring compounds and the characteristic properties of each plant. Traditionally, it is used to support the liver, digestion and the body’s natural metabolic and elimination processes.
During preparation, we use an adjusted alcohol concentration, as different plant compounds are extracted most effectively at different alcohol strengths. This allows us to extract both more water-soluble and less water-soluble compounds and create a more complete herbal preparation.
The herbs come from organic cultivation on our herbal farm or from carefully selected and trusted sources. We place special emphasis on handcrafting, careful preparation and a respectful approach to the plants.

Milk Thistle (Silybum marianum)
Milk thistle is a distinctive plant from the daisy family (Asteraceae). The seeds (semen) are used in the tincture. Traditionally, milk thistle is primarily associated with supporting the liver and its natural functions. It holds a special place in herbal formulas for the liver due to its characteristic plant compounds and its traditionally valued protective qualities.
Artichoke (Cynara scolymus)
Artichoke is a Mediterranean plant from the daisy family (Asteraceae). The leaves (folium) are used in the tincture. Traditionally, artichoke is associated with supporting the liver, digestion and fat metabolism. Its naturally bitter character supports digestive processes and gives the tincture a distinctive herbal note.
Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale)
Dandelion is a well-known wild plant from the daisy family (Asteraceae). The root (radix) is used in the tincture. Traditionally, dandelion is associated with the liver, digestion and the body’s natural elimination processes. Its root is rich in bitter compounds and is therefore often included in herbal formulas designed to support digestive and metabolic balance.
Yarrow (Achillea millefolium)
Yarrow is one of Europe’s oldest and most valued traditional medicinal herbs and belongs to the daisy family (Asteraceae). The aerial parts (herba) are used in the tincture. Traditionally, yarrow is associated with digestion, bile function and the body’s inner balance. It brings a gentle bitterness to the formula and helps bring the herbal blend together as a whole.

When can I expect to notice the first effects?
Herbal preparations tend to work gradually. Some people notice changes in how they feel or in their digestion within a few days, while for others it may be more appropriate to use the tincture for several weeks. For best results, we recommend regular use together with a balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.
Is it better to take the tincture before or after meals?
It is recommended to take the tincture on an empty stomach – before a meal or at least 1 hour after eating, as this allows for better absorption. Because the formula also contains bitter herbs, some people prefer taking it before meals.
Is the tincture suitable for a spring herbal course?
Yes. Many people like to use it in spring or during periods when they want to pay more attention to digestion, diet and the body’s natural balance.
Can I use the tincture after a period of heavier eating?
Yes. Due to its combination of milk thistle, artichoke, dandelion and yarrow, the tincture is also popular after holidays or during periods of heavier eating, when you want to return to a more balanced routine of eating and digestion.
Can I use the tincture for a longer period?
We recommend using it for 3 weeks, followed by a break of at least 1 week. In exceptional cases, it may be used continuously for up to 2 months, followed by a break. The course can be repeated several times a year if needed.
Is the tincture suitable for people with gallstones?
If you have gallstones, gallbladder problems or bile duct obstruction, we recommend consulting your doctor or pharmacist before use.
