Does the balm contain alcohol because a tincture is used?
A tincture is indeed used during the preparation process as part of the extraction, as it helps release plant compounds that are more difficult to extract into oil alone.
Once the process is complete, the tincture remains at the bottom of the vessel and is not included in the final product. The finished balm therefore contains no alcohol, only the herbal constituents that have gently transferred into the balm base during preparation.
