FAQ

Gentle stomach is a gentle herbal tincture made from lemon balm, chamomile, green oat herb, plantain and yarrow. It is prepared using the traditional cold maceration method, which helps preserve a broad spectrum of naturally occurring plant constituents and the gentle, balanced character of the herbs.

The alcohol content (40%) is carefully adjusted to allow gentle extraction of plant constituents from the herbs, flowers and leaves, without excessive bitterness or an overly strong herbal character. This method creates a gentle and balanced tincture suitable even for a more sensitive stomach.

The herbs are grown or harvested with great respect for nature and traditional herbal knowledge. Most come from Slovenia or carefully selected organic sources and are then processed by hand into tincture on our farm.

Lemon balm (Melissa officinalis)

Lemon balm is a gentle aromatic herb from the Lamiaceae family. The herb (herba) is used in the tincture. Its mild citrus scent has long been associated with calm, relaxation and a sense of inner balance. Traditionally, it is often included in herbal blends for a sensitive stomach and tension after periods of stress.

Chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla)

Chamomile, from the Asteraceae family, is one of the best-known herbal plants. The flowers (flos) are used in the tincture. Its gentle, warming character has been associated with abdominal comfort, relaxation and a sense of softness for centuries. It is often considered one of the gentlest herbs for sensitive individuals.

Oats (Avena sativa)

Oats, from the Poaceae family, are a gentle and nourishing plant. The green parts (herba viridis) are used in the tincture. Traditionally, oats are associated with calm, recovery and a sense of inner stability. In the blend, they bring gentleness and beautifully connect the digestive and nervous system aspects of the tincture.

Ribwort plantain (Plantago lanceolata)

Ribwort plantain, from the Plantaginaceae family, is a simple meadow plant. The leaf (folium) is used in the tincture. It has long been associated with a sense of protection, gentleness and soothing irritation. It brings a gentle and balanced herbal character to the tincture.

Yarrow (Achillea millefolium)

Yarrow, from the Asteraceae family, is a traditional European herb. The herb (herba) is used in the tincture. Its slightly bitter and aromatic character beautifully connects the digestive herbs with a sense of calm and balance. For centuries, it has been included in herbal blends for the abdomen, stomach and sensitivity following demanding periods.

When do people most often use Gentle stomach tincture?

People often choose Gentle stomach tincture during periods when tension, stress or a fast-paced lifestyle begin to affect the stomach and abdomen as well. It is commonly used when experiencing a “knot” in the stomach, sensitivity after meals, abdominal tension or when traditional herbal bitters do not suit them.

As the tincture is not particularly bitter and contains gentler herbs, many people find it a softer form of support for digestion and abdominal comfort. It is especially popular with people who have a sensitive or easily irritated stomach and digestive system.
