FAQ

Herbal First Aid Spray is a traditional herbal spray made from extracts of calendula, echinacea, shepherd’s purse and thyme. This combination of four herbs brings together a wide range of naturally occurring plant compounds and is prepared using traditional extraction methods designed to preserve the integrity of the plant material.

The alcohol content is carefully adjusted to allow the effective extraction of both water-soluble and alcohol-soluble compounds. The result is a balanced and stable herbal preparation that retains the distinctive character of each plant while allowing the herbs to complement one another.

The herbs are grown on our organic farm or carefully gathered from unspoilt natural areas in Slovenia. They are harvested by hand, with respect for natural rhythms and close attention to quality, which is reflected in the finished product.

Calendula

Calendula is one of the most recognisable plants in European folk herbalism. With its warm orange flowers, it has been part of traditional home herbal preparations for centuries and is often associated with gentleness, warmth and care. Traditionally, it has been valued as a plant commonly included in preparations for skin care and everyday herbal first aid.

Echinacea

Echinacea originates from North America, where Indigenous peoples used it long before the arrival of Europeans. Its distinctive purple flowers are now recognised around the world. In traditional herbalism, echinacea is widely used in a variety of preparations and is valued for its versatility and rich range of naturally occurring compounds.

Shepherd’s Purse

Shepherd’s purse is an unassuming plant that grows almost everywhere and is often overlooked. It takes its name from its characteristic heart-shaped seed pods, which resemble small shepherds’ purses. It has a long history of use in folk tradition and is one of those plants that was once well known to our grandmothers. Today, it is still valued by lovers of traditional herbalism as part of old herbal recipes and preparations.

Thyme

Thyme is an aromatic Mediterranean herb that thrives in sunny, dry habitats. Its characteristic scent has been associated with a sense of freshness and purity for centuries. Traditionally, it has been used in many herbal preparations, where it contributes its distinctive aromatic character and a rich variety of naturally occurring compounds.
